I'm a student and an employee of the university I attend. I recently took the leap into the pool home ownership and came out dripping with mixed emotions.

I am trying to reconcile traditional beliefs (think truth and beauty)in a post modern world. Ask me how that is going.

The most important thing in the world to me is love. I recently emigrated from California to Oshkosh, Wisconsin a few years ago. I'm currently chasing after my English degree, with which I will be teaching high school. Those are the concretes, as for the abstracts, I'm a Christian and I very firmly believe in the goodness of mankind. I think too much, and I'm far too shy for my own good. It's not that I don't like you, or that I don't think you look good, it's that I'm too shy to say anything. I also have trouble holding a conversation. I never know what to talk about.

When I lived in SoCal, I listened to this frat boy that was given a radio talk show called Tom Lykis, and I couldn't disagree with him more on relationships. Now, this guy would go on and on about how he doesn't want an intelligent chick, or that he wants a girl to take care of him, and the only use he has for a girl is the hole between her legs.

I'm an adult. I can take care of myself. If I wanted a care-taker, I wouldn't've left home. For me, the girlfriend is an equal, and we take care of the same responsibilities. I'll do the laundry, take out the trash, etc. as long as she'll do the same. This extends farther than house-hold chores, since we won't have to worry about that for a good long while. It's a metaphor, you see. Second thing is, I love intelligent girls. If you can't piece together a sentence, or haven't read a full book in the last year...yeah. Not for me. I don't have to see eye to eye with you on everything, but I need to be able to talk to you.

I also hate talking about myself. I never know what to say.

I am new to Oshkosh as of June '09. Left the only home I've ever known in the suburbs of Detroit. I miss Michigan, but I'm excited to learn and explore Wisconsin.

I am: fat, non-monogamous, loving, generous, always honest, almost always nice, a Libertarian, highly self-motivated, intelligent, forever searching and wandering.

I don't understand or practice monogamy. I don't inhibit others. I recognize that jealousy stems from insecurity, I am honest about my feelings and communicate effectively. When I meet someone the type of relationship I am going to have with them isn't determined or limited by their biological sex or their socialized gender - no matter what combination they come in. I guess the term pansexual applies - but fuck labels really. You just be you, and I'll just be me, OK?

I am a college student, working on my undergrad. I used to play sports, but my arthritis got the best of me. I like to watch anime, but I haven't had time lately. I love all things military. Since I can't join myself, I support our troops and want them home. I have the utmost respect for all of our armed service men and women.

Also, I'm saying this NOW, my ex/sort of boyfriend is deployed. So I have a large attachment to him as a friend and something more. I am technically single, but I'm not looking for anything serious, as of this moment. But if we get together for a short while and things happen, then I will think about things. So don't think I will rule anything out, but just know.. a fourth of my heart is in Iraq.

I want to get married soon, but I will not get married until after college and have a good job lined up. I'm ready to just settle down, have a job, buy a house and live life outside of school. I know I will probably miss being a student when I'm out in the "real world".

A lot of my friends tell me I'm cute and little. And they also say that I'm a kind person with a big heart. I like to think I am what they say. I smile at everyone because a smile can make someone's day, even if it's from a stranger. I can also be a mega bitch. That might be too honest, but if you hurt me, you're in for worse. Never play games with a girl who can play better. Honesty is very important. Don't lie to me because I tend to find out, by accident or whatever. And once you lose my trust, you won't get it back without flying through several flaming hoops.

Life is a continual lesson. We have to learn from what we do right and from what we do wrong. What works and what doesn't. I'm always learning and trying to balance everything and everyone. But I don't try to make everyone happy. If I did, then I wouldn't be happy myself. I want to be happy. That is my life goal.

I do not play well with people waiting for their lives to begin. Tomorrow is today and today is yesterday! Motivation! Inspiration! Recreation! Juxtaposition!

In my freshman year of college, I planned what I thought my life would be like. It's not that way at all, and I'm trying to learn to roll with the punches. I love to laugh but I can also take things too seriously at times.

I am a musician and I love creating music. I equally love listening to music, especially classic rock, jazz, and classical music. I am also a photographer and enjoy portrait and landscape photography.

Hi there, a friend tried this site and it worked for him so I thought I would give this a try hoping to find a nice woman out there to start out as friends and hopefully work out to a nice long term relationship. About me I just graduated from UW-Oshkosh for Radio/TV/Film and minor of Sociology hoping one day to work in the media at a TV station in sports or news. I enjoy pretty much anything from sports, movies,music, family, friends, working out, comedy clubs, etc.

I am 26 year old Male. I currently reside in Oshkosh, WI. I work there too. Oshkosh is alright. I work during the weekdays, and when I'm not doing that I'm trying to have fun.

I never really know what to write when asked to describe myself in the confines of a box. I enjoy life and meeting new people. I believe that the people you meet and form bonds with shape us to become something great. My friends are my family and without them i would be nothing. I love watching Movies..... from Mainstream to obscure it doesn't matter. I'm not really into the bar scene..... don't get me wrong.... i go from time to time but i would prefer to just stay in with some friends watching movies or playing board games. There really are ways of having fun that doesn't involve drinking.

I start off as a shy individual, but the better I know someone the more outgoing I become, with them and in public. I'm sort of a goody-goody -- I don't much enjoy getting into trouble. I'm passionate, and (mostly) mature, but I don't take myself too seriously. I've learned to laugh at myself because it's just not worth it to be uptight. Well, that and I have terrible balance, often make up words because I trip over my tongue (history+literature=literatry; literally+figuratively=literitavely), and ask obvious questions without thinking first. For all these reasons, I rarely feel embarrassed anymore. I also hate drama. I wish I could avoid it completely, but it's hard as a woman.

I have this overwhelming urge to travel; whenever I get on the highway it's amazing I ever find my way home. I want to see the world more than once.

Three hobbies that have stuck with me are reading, writing and singing, though I no longer take lessons. Other than that, I'm very ambivalent. One month I'll want to take karate lessons, the next I'll want to try ballet. One thing I have made up my mind about, however, is piano. I have been taking lessons for seven months and I see no end in sight.

I'm also a hardcore gamer. I used to play WoW, but quit that after about 3 years for D&D.

I am naturally curious and have no problem asking questions, but I do not lead conversations well. I am never on time, though I always try to be. Also, I swear a lot. A whole lot.

I am a university professor. I teach in a graduate program that trains students to become counselors. I am an activist. I am passionate about making the world a better place. I am mostly involved in LGBTQ issues, but I am passionate about various issues such as gender, race, nationality, etc. I identify as queer, but often I say bisexual because it is easier. I follow Lakota/the red road...that is my spiritual path. I have been attending Lakota ceremonies for about 12 years. I am creative...I like to paint, draw, etc. I am very energized by creating things, though I often find I don't have the time. I am down to earth and a good listener (and I like to talk too). I love to read, and I love music. I moved to Wisconsin about a year ago. I am from Indiana originally, but spent the last four years before coming here in Alabama for doctoral school.

I love traveling and doing new things. I am still young and want to get the most out of life! I am always questioning things because I want to know everything. I am very close with my friends and family... the good friends I have, have been my friends since i was young... and my brother is one of my best friends. I love laughing and making people laugh, it's the best feeling when i make someone laugh. I absolutely love football, it's my favorite time of year! I also love going up north with my family. Then doing all that good stuff like fishing camping and hiking. My favorite times of the year are spring and fall. I love dogs and have always had one growing up and hope to get one of my own soon. I am a hard working single guy. I work for a large company in Oshkosh. I enjoy working out 4-5 days a week, and walking my dog when weather permits. I like to ride my mountain bike on the trails when I have time, I even entered a few bike events this year, challenging and fun. I don't hunt or fish, but I love dining out on occasion, I also like to cook, and I like comedy clubs, though not much for dancing. I am a baseball(Brewers)(T'Rats) and football(Packers) fan. I don't care where I watch the game. I like festivals, even shopping. Starting this time of year, bowling league begins for me. I love to bowl during the winter months.

I am full of energy, excitement, humor, and optimism in life. My interests are quite varied, ranging from a shoe obsession, to your atypical stuff including sci-fi and off-mainstream tech shows (television) and games.

What fun is being a total conformist i say! Id rather be a non-conformist and get the most out of life and take each day in stride.

I love to laugh. I think a sense of humor is the biggest turn on in the world. If you can make me laugh...you're halfway there!

I like mailboxes that look like horses, late night trips to menards, boxes full of random stuff from your parents' basement and "driving cool". Jeep Cherokees are hot. I think NCIS is super awesome.

I'm looking for a man who will tell me he hates my skinny leg jeans, get me a free treadmill off of craigslist for valentine's day and knows that he is amazing. A man who will still think about me dancing to the radio weeks after he hasn't seen me, who will wait to tell me he loves me until after I break up with him and will put up with waking up to me molesting him at 8 am on a Sunday. I want a man who knows we are supposed to be together because every time we are together it just feels right. He must have a Stir Crazy Popcorn Popper, smell like tea tree oil when he gets out of the shower and enjoy long massages head scratching and full body rubdowns.

I love to do a lot of things... I'm well traveled (Ireland, England, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, all around the US and planning a trip to Australia) and well read (everything from Heiddegarien philosophy to the Twilight books to the classics). I'll try pretty much anything once. So long as it doesn't involve heights or spiders. Or iminent death. I am not a thrill seeker by any means. Life is more about the attitude you bring to the things you do than it is about the actual things you are doing. Notable exceptions being good food and good people. Those are non negotiable and mandatory

I like to think I have a nice balance of girlishness and rugged independence. I kayak. I once spent ten days living out of my kayak. I love to wear dresses. And heels. I've spent two months backpacking in Oregon. Every once in a while I just want somebody to spend the day in bed with.

I am witty and sarcastic, but a lot of people seem to say that and turn out not to be. I suppose its a matter of opinion. Perhaps the things people don't assert about themselves is often more important than the things they do.

I am very open and honest about the things I want and don't want, especially in relationships. I think dating and relationships are hard enough without people being evasive about what they are looking for. It may be uncomfortable sometimes but being upfront and honest will hurt less in the long run than trying to spare the other person's feelings.

To me, any relationship has to be a partnership based on mutual attraction, both physical and mental. If not what's the point?

After a 4 and a half year relationship I'm actually single again... Not quite sure what I'm looking for right now, so I'm hoping to just live life and figure that out along the way. Currently, I attend the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. I am very focused on my grades, however I do not let it stop me from having a social life and enjoying what the world has to offer. I'm willing to try anything once (with some very minor exceptions... lol). I'm fairly easy going and I am always willing to just sit back and enjoy a good movie. Hello. Trying this out to see if a relationship can come out of it. Pretty open to many things. I like golfing during the summer, cooking out with friends, dancing, hanging out with friends and family, camping, working out, going for walks with my dog in the mornings. Meeting girls at bars never really ends up being very special, all the dates usually end up going to the bars. This is the first time i've ever checked out one of these sites. I don't really know what to put down here. I'm looking for someone to fit into my life either through a friendship or a relationship. I am a real friendly guy. Very easy-going, its very hard to get on my bad side. If you do though it won't be very hard to get back on the good side. I love hanging out with my friends. When we get together its usually pretty safe to assume that we will get into some sort of trouble. But don't worry I'm not a troublemaker. Sports is a real passion in my life, especially football. Don't bother trying to get me to do anything on a Sunday if the Packers are playing, you won't succeed. I feel like I could create the world's most popular cereal and become a breakfast mogul. Also I want my future home to be Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory even though I have no idea how to skate. One of the only things that I want out of life is to be as happy as possible. I'm willing to do just about anything one time. This thing is pretty random isn't it.

I would say that a good match for me would be a girl who can match my level. Be able to take control sometimes and make some decisions. Be able to joke around with me and also be able to be serious with me. Sometimes I want to be around a lot of people and have a good time and you should too. But I also enjoy time with just the two of us becoming one with the couch and watching movies or relaxing. I guess that you should be down for just about anything because I am.

I enjoy being outdoors. I like golfing, baseball, 4wheeling, water, working in my shop, anything outside. I like to find the funny side of things, what's life without laughter...huh. I am pretty easy going and open to new things although I am kind of shy. I have a great group of friends that I am very close with. I have a small close family. My 5 month old lab keeps my pretty busy now, he's got just a little more energy than me. So it took me 2 hours to write this, hehe.

The first thing I can tell you is, I am really into Music. I have a real appreciation for expressive art of any kind. I play guitar, have been for a few years. I have recently joined a blues band, and we plan on playing shows and such when we get rolling. I like driving my car. I also enjoy going out with friends on a Friday night to a bar, or some random thing we think of. I also like to play video games by myself and with friends.(I will own your face in Guilty Gears) My friends and I go to movies we think will be good, whenever we see something that tickles our fancy. I like Japanese anime, and the Japanese culture in general.

I am a total Star Wars geek. Star Wars is who I am. Star Wars is what I love. Star Wars is the BOMB! I love the the Sith and all the villains of Star Wars. Nothing can stop the dark side!!! All hail the sith!!!

My favorite food is Chinese. I love General Tso Chicken the BEST!!! My favorite Chinese resteraunts to go to are buffets. My mouth literally waters everytime I'm about to chow down on Chinese food.

I love to practice all the kenesis techniques. The one technique I am likely to achive first is electrokenesis. The next power I will accomplish will be Mind Trick. I will very well likely achive all the techniques.

Someday I will own some pets. Someday I'll have kids, maybe. I love kids and pets.

If it's possible I try to keep things as simple as possible.
I am pretty relaxed but that doesn't mean I don't care. Sometimes people think it means that I don't like them or that I'm not interested. When things aren't out of hand I am usually pretty content so I get a little quiet, not a very excitable person.
I have a good sense of humor. I like to joke around and I expect it back.
If there isn't something to do during the week I'll stay at home. I have my own place so if the chores don't get done, they never get done. :P
Music is my refuge. Most of it is loud and fast but I like just about anything but country.
I'm in this weird vortex where I'm not old, not young, un-married, childrened, and trying to date. I'm not whining or anything, but it's funny.
I can laugh when things aren't going well. That's the best time.

Well let's see. I come from a military background. My father was in the coast guard for 20+ years. I love animals, of which I own 3 cats 2 horses and some fishes :) My love of music and photography drive my days and nights and I would be lost without them. I love to do lots of things inside and outside including playing games, rollerblading, horseback riding, and some video games from time to time.

As for what I'm looking for... Personality is important (Funny, Kind, Considerate, Polite, Smart, Mature), No one can say that looks don't matter. Be honest with yourself, they do matter. Tall is important ;) I'm a tall girl, and I'd like to be with someone who's at least as tall as me, taller is always better hehe. Hair colour doesn't matter. Eye colour either. As for build, average to thin is fine by me, but over weight, or what not does not appeal to me. Anyway.. as for other things... interests that are similar, yet others that are not so we can exchange and share, that would be nice to.

I have cats and horses, so someone who's allergic to either... won't work. I'd like children some day, so that's a must as well :) And family is very important to me.

Side note: Yes I have short hair. No I don't plan to grow it out. If you are opposed to short hair.. well I guess we're not a match ;)

On a final note... I do not drink and I do not smoke. I cannot be around someone who smokes, I've got very bad asthma, so that will not work out. On the drinking: Someone who doesn't drink at all would be nice, but a little here and there is fine... no drunks, or heavy drinkers :)

My ideas of a good time: Going for a long drive to nowhere, eating mint chocolate chip ice cream, petting fuzzy kitties, playing poker with the old man at the bar, stealing shopping carts and hanging them from bridges (if you think that sounds stupid, you should have seen it in person!), drinking cream soda, holding awesome cottage parties, writing short stories no one will ever read, spooning, being in D7, telling funny stories, talking to stuffed hedgehogs (he's my copilot; no joke!), giving foot massages, being the leader and cofounder of D7, playing video games with friends, sleeping in my waterbed, eating sushi, lmao with Liam, and other random debauchery.

I must warn you; I'm an undercover nerd. I'm good with computers and I'm a friggen genius (modest, too!). I've been sent by my less attractive, uncharismatic collegues to infiltrate the dating scene and report my findings. Yet, on the other hand, I like to party and get tipsy with good friends and new faces alike. I even clean up nicely! I'm looking for someone who can handle my secret double life.

What am I looking for? Well, there's this Lego I lost up my nose when I was younger... No, really, it's hard to say, as just like everyone else, when I think I know what I want, I realize I'm wrong. I do know there are things I actively look for in friends and significant others. A strong sense of humor is essentially a must, as I'm always looking for ways to make people laugh. That, by the way, is my one true joy; making people laugh and smile. Knowing I made someone feel good makes me in turn feel good. Also, brains are a plus, because brains are delicious! Mmm... Im 18 i graduated high school in june....... i love going to see movies.. going for walks.. taking my dog boots to the dog park. i love animals especially black lab mixs.

I am a very busy guy and enjoy lfe that way. I graduated from UWO in '06 and am in the process of getting my MBA there as well. I have a great job in the financial industry up to Appleton in addition to a part-time weekend job in Neenah. I enjoy most sports including football, basketball, tennis, running, and baseball - I have run in a few half-marathons so far and plan to run in at least a couple each year going forward. I love to have long conversations about anything, everything, or nothing. My relationship with God, my friends, and my family are extremely important to me.

I don't really know what to write about myself except to say that I am pretty laid back. I love to travel, watch TV, clean, listen to music, shop, and spend time with my friends and family. I love talking about politics, even if it's with somebody I may not agree with. Just about any intelligent or interesting conversation will do, too. I am new to Oshkosh and I have a hard time meeting new people because of work, so I am looking for a new way to meet people.

I am pretty content with where I am, and I am not looking for a person to "complete" me. I like being independent, if only just to know that I can be if I need to. A good man is the only thing missing from my life right now.

I like hanging out with friends, being outside a lot. Going north to a cabin and staying there from time to time.

I can have fun doing pretty much anything. I make it fun! I love to smile, laugh, and just be happy in general. I love it when i can brighten somoeones day. It makes me feel like im a positive part of our world. I like to draw, even though I'm horrible, listen to music, dance, sometimes, and read.

Hello my name is Mark, I have been living on my own in Oshkosh for the last 2 years and this is my attempt to step outside of my normal every day life to meet some new people.

I have a great sense of humor, a sarcastic side and I pride myself in my honesty. I'm not your typical guy in the sense that I don't play mind games I'm really not into sports, cars and I don't have a notch on my bedpost for every wild woman I have been with.

I enjoy my independence but I also realize the importance of experiencing new things and inviting someone else into my life. As far as hobbies or things I enjoy doing. Mainly socializing with friends, movies, music, concerts, cookouts, pool, good conversations and even a healthy debate every now and then.

My friends always ask me why I am still single. And I guess that has something to do with the fact that I have a small group of friends and I am happy with that, but I need to step outside that comfort zone. So here I am. If you want to know anything more about me just ask :)

I'm a 23 year old from Oshkosh, I've lived here about a year, and so far I love it. I love being outside, fishing, boating,vollayball,softball, camping, basically anything outdoors. Theres not much that I won't try at least once. I love spending my spring and summer watching the brewers, as well as watching the Pack in winter.
