Oshkosh Michigan Museums

The EAA Museum is located on US Highway 41 outside Oshkosh, Michigan, about an hour and a half's drive north of Detroit. It is unique among other aviation museums that large parts of the history of the region - built aircraft, flying competitions and the history of aviation - are concentrated. Special guided tours behind the scenes of the active airport directly outside the museum's doors provide a profound experience of the aircraft and their history, as well as the current state of aviation.

If you are in the Chippewa Valley, be sure to visit the Oshkosh Public Library during your stay and check out the many shops and businesses that are located in and around downtown and along I-41. Visit the US Army Corps of Engineers Museum and Michigan Museum of Natural History, both of which should be on your list. One of 25 urban - well-maintained parks for running, playing and relaxing as well as a variety of outdoor activities for children and families.

During our stay at Stevens Point, we also liked the Michigan Museum of Natural History and the Wisconsin State Museum in Oshkosh. This was the first children's museum we visited in Wisconsin, and many of the exhibits have changed over the past year. There are a few more indoor options as well as a variety of outdoor activities for children.

It is the sheer number of aircraft artifacts that make this museum in Washington D.C. popular with aviation enthusiasts - obsessed and a little curious. More than 200 aircraft have been collected, including one that was once the personal transport of Chairman Mao Zedong. The museum is full of turbulent history, but it also reminds us of what is possible through curiosity, ingenuity and wonder.

With tons of space and hangars dedicated to amazing flying examples, the EAA Museum is a must - visit Wisconsin attraction. There is a daily bus tour organized by the museum, as well as daily guided tours of the aircraft and other exhibits.

Milwaukee has a ton of hotel and lodging options, but my favorite suggestion for a family vacation is a stay at the Tundra Lodge Resort at Waterpark Green in Wisconsin Bay, USA. There is a large covered water park, and alternately they have large pools and small covered arcades. Many people also enjoy staying at a Milwaukee hotel, such as the Milwaukee Marriott Marquis Hotel and Spa, where I stayed. I like the many pools, water slides, etc. , so it is a popular proposal for family holidays in spring.

Other hotel brands in the area also have similar indoor pool facilities, but I do not know of any other hotel brand in the area where I have stayed or enjoyed in the past. Your best choice for accommodation in Eau Claire is to connect with the Tundra Lodge Resort in Waterpark Green in Wisconsin Bay, USA, where I stayed. There are warm indoor pools and the Above and Beyond Children's Museum, so if you're there, don't miss Storybrook Gardens on the outskirts of town, just a few blocks from the Marriott Marquis Hotel and Spa (where we stayed), and a great place for a family vacation.

The Natural History Museum in Eau Claire also offers visitors the opportunity to behave themselves with the help of the museum's staff and volunteers.

The EAA AirVenture Museum is not of interest to me like the other aviation museums, but I was able to secure a second museum visit when I returned to the Fox Valley area. Visitors can reach the Delta Flight Museum by driving from Eau Claire Airport, which is a few miles south of the airport. The Airbus A320 was found at home after an investigation and Rutan flew the aircraft for several years before donating it to the museum in 1988.

While you're there, don't miss the kids "network - friendly museums and attractions scattered around the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. During your stay, you plan to spend a full weekend at the Museum of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (MSTM) and the Wisconsin State Museum. On the Saginaw, Michigan website, you will find opportunities and activities in new places, such as playgrounds that your children will enjoy, museums or playgrounds that they will be looking forward to visiting. Read more about this story in the May / June 2014 issue of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The best place to stay in Sheboygan is hands off, but we recommend you be aware of where you are and what you are going to do.
